In a statement, Berkshire Hathaway says Munger’s family notified the company that he had passed early Tuesday at a hospital in California.
Buffett is quoted in the statement, saying “Berkshire Hathaway could not have been built to its present status without Charlie’s inspiration, wisdom and participation.”
